New York Summer Internship Housing, Meals, Transportation, & 24/7 Onsite Staff

Our summer housing facilities in New York City offer the convenience and comfort necessary for an easy transition into living in the big city. Participants will never feel alone in the big city, as they will reside among hundreds of other participants who together will take advantage of all that our program and city have to offer. New York Summer Internship Program Housing:

New York Session 1: May 26 - July 20, 2013

New York Session 2: June 9 - August 3, 2013

New York summer programs will be housed at New York University's University Hall Residence.

Our New York Housing is a top-notch NYU residence located within the popular Union Square area. Its an attractive location with subway entries, grocery stores, eateries and student hangout spots just down the block. Rooms are apartment style quads with two bedrooms (doubles in each room), a common area, bathroom and kitchen. Each room offers free wireless internet access and Ethernet connections. Participants will have free access to NYU’s amenities, including its dining facilities, state of the art fitness and athletic facilities, seminar venues, TV and common lounges, music practice rooms and study lounges. All accessible features are within a 5 minute walking distance.

Meals

Meal Plan - Campus Cash is your meal and all-purpose debit plan. You access your campus cash through your NYU ID Card that is issued to you. Campus cash offers flexible options for you to meet your dining needs. You can use it to purchase meals, beverages and snacks on and off- campus. You may also use your campus cash at select local merchants in the vicinity of the campus and residence halls, and for laundry, vending, copying/printing. Here is a short list of merchant locations that accept campus cash.

More information about each dining facility, including location and hours of operations will be provided to you at the start of your summer.

Transportation

Our New York participants will receive a Metro Card to get to and from work each day, as well as transportation throughout the 8 weeks of the program for activities sponsored by Dream Careers.

*Not included in the program is: Transportation to and from the program.

24/7 Onsite Staff Assistance

On-site staff is dedicated to delivering a high-quality experience to enable both your professional and personal growth. Staff members will serve as your program guides, leading you to program events as you become accustomed to the city. They will be available at all times to ensure your summer in the city is as safe as possible.
